1- Departure from the hostel
We are less than 30 minutes’ walk from the Duomo, the heart of Florence’s historic center, an intriguing itinerary that will take you to discover typical neighborhoods, local landmarks and iconic views that tell the true Florentine soul.

 

2. Duomo and Giotto’s Bell Tower
The first stop can only be this, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi’s dome, Giotto’s Bell Tower and the majestic Baptistery, a square that leaves you speechless.

 

3. Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio
A few hundred meters away you’ll reach another famous Florentine spot, the airy Piazza della Signoria, where you can admire the statues of Michelangelo and Cellini, the en plein air museum that is the Loggia dei Lanzi, and the granite Palazzo Vecchio, which solemnly dominates the neighborhood.

 

4. Uffizi Gallery

5. Ponte Vecchio
Treat yourself to a romantic stop on Florence’s best-known bridge, surrounded by antique goldsmith stores with the Arno River flowing placidly below: one of the most photographed places in the city.

 

6. Oltrarno and Piazzale Michelangelo
Cross the bridge and you’ll find yourself in the Otrarno district, punctuated by artisan stores, quaint bistros and the beautiful Boboli Gardens, behind the Pitti Palace.
If the day draws to a close, climb up to Piazzale Michelangelo: the sunset over the rooftops and churches you can admire from up there literally takes your breath away.

 

7. Back to the hostel
